Our Beliefs based on the Bible...
Let us be humbled by faith in Jesus or be dead in our egos sinful ways?
Jesus spoke “it is finished”… as is written in the Bible this is the begining gift that is the New Covenant bsed on Jesus resurecting and sitting on the throne at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest:
39 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!” 40 But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? 41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.[a]” 43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:39-43 the Bible NIV
God is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient
Our belief is that God is all powerful (Omnipotent) as is written in the Bible:
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. (Revelation 19:6)
Our belief is that God is everywhere, Omnipresent, as is stated in the Bible:
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell [the grave], behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me”. (Psalm 139:7–10)
Our belief is that God the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth as is written in the Bible.
Vs1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Vs2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. (Genesis 1) 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Our belief that God is all knowing, Omniscient, as is written in the Bible:
“Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You” (Psalm 139:12) and “there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13)
Our belief that God is on His throne and controls everything that comes to pass. We are in the Hand of a Loving God and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Daniel 4:35 All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing.
He does as he please with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: “What have you done?”
Our belief in God The Father, God The Son and God The Holly Spirit as is written in the Bible:
I AM is the only one and true God: Who exists eternally in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal and are one God.
The Father is God as it is written in the Bible:
The first word of the Hebrew language is אב (Av, Father).
The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15
6 Then he said, “I am the God of your father,[a] the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. (Exodus 3:6)
Vs1 Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead (Galatians 1:1)
Jesus is God from the beginning as it is written in the Bible:
Our believe is that Jesus Christ the Messiah is God the Son, co-equal with the Father. Jesus Christ is fully God and became a man to take on the pains of our sins. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross to pay the full and awful penalty for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. Thus creating a shift in mans history by establishing a new covenant.
Vs14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.(John 1: 14)
The Holy Spirit is God in us as is written in the Bible:
Vs19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; Vs20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
Vs26 “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. 27 And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning. (John 15:26) The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. (2 Corinthians 13:14)
Before the death and resurrection of Jesus we could not meet the requirements of the old covenant, the Ten Commandments as it is written in the Bible:
Vs1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, Vs2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. Vs3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. Vs4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. (Hebrews 1: 1-4)
God The Holy Spirit who baptizes us with the Holy Spirit and the fire as it is written in the Bible:
Our belief that the Holy Spirit is God and he is present in our minds and his word is written in our hearts to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He has earned salvation earned by Christ for us. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. We need to be filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit continually.
Luke 3:16 John answered them all, “I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with[c] the Holy Spirit and fire.
Jesus is the Great High Priest and Mediator of the New Covenant which are placed in our minds and written in our hearts;
Jesus the Great High Priest
High Priest Jesus is from the tribe of Judah not the tribe of priestly tribes of Levi or Aaron. So if the priest tribe changes the law also changes as is written in the Bible in God’s words: Vs14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. Vs15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Vs16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:14-16)
The New Covenant is called the Royal Laws
Vs7 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right. (James 2:8) For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. Vs8 But God found fault with the people and said: “The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. Vs9 It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord. (Hebrews 8: 7-9)
The Royal Laws are written in our hearts and minds:
Not as the Law of Moses is considered the Ten Commandments and they are called the Law. The Hebrew word "Torah" is usually translated into the English word "Law". The author of Hebrews wrote My Laws: This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. (Hebrews 8:10)
Our belief that new laws replaces the old law as is written in the Bible:
By calling this covenant “new” He has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear. (Hebrews 8: 13)
Jesus + The Law Ten Commandments = Death
Jesus + Living in the Holly Spirit New Covenant (New Laws) = Life
Our belief a person is saved by God's grace through faith in Christ alone as it is written in the Bible:
Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Our belief is that the Bible is the Word of God inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God as it is written in the Bible:
Hebrews 4: 12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 Vs16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, Vs17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Our belief hat we are in the loving hands of God who is our heavenly Father and cares about every area of our lives as it is written in the Bible:
1 John 3:1a "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!"
1 John 3:1-3 Vs1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Vs2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,[a] we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as he is. Vs3 All who have this hope in Him purify themselves, just as He is pure.
Our belief that we are the children of God as it is written in the Bible:
John1:12-13 Vs12 Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God— Vs13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
We believe the church is the Body of Christ and His primary means of accomplishing His purposes in the world today. Jesus loved the church and gave himself up for it. We love the church because Christ did. We believe the church is central to God's eternal purpose. We believe that God has entrusted the task of world evangelization to His Church and that it is important for every Christian to be involved in the visible church here on earth. Our faith has both vertical and horizontal components. A believer without a church is like a child without a family. Ephesians 4:16 "From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."
Our belief that man is made in the image of God yet scarred by sin and in need of a Savior:
Genesis 1:27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Image (Strong's #6754) The word image צלם (tselem) in Genesis 1:27 is literally a shadow which is the outline or representation of the original.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Our belief that God institution of the family comprised of a man and a woman is the basic building block of human society as it is written in the Bible:
Genesis 2:24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
Our belief that Jesus is coming again to judge the world to establish the final state of things as it is written in the Bible:
Revelation1:7-8 Vs7 “Look, He is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of Him.” So shall it be! Amen. Vs8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Our belief that Jesus shows us how to share the wine and the bread that represent him with before our brothers and sisters so we could remember him as it is written in the Bible:
Luke 22:15-19 Vs15 And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God.” Vs17 After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among you. Vs18 For I tell you I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” Vs19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
Our belief that Jesus shows us how to humble ourselves before our brothers and sisters setting ego aside by the washing of feet as it is written in the Bible:
John:13:3-17 Vs3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; Vs4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. Vs5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. Vs6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” Vs7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” Vs8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.” Vs9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” Vs10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” Vs11 For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean. Vs12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. Vs13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Vs14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. Vs15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Vs16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Vs17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
Our belief Baptism by immersion as Jesus taught us as it is written in the Bible:
According to Strong's concordance, the word βαπτίζω, ‘baptizo,' is translated as...
“baptize” 76 times, “wash” twice, “baptist” once, and “baptized once. It means to dip repeatedly, to immerse, to submerge (of vessels sunk). 2 to cleanse by dipping or submerging, to wash, to make clean with water, to wash one’s self, bathe. 1
So, we clearly see that the word means to immerse.
Romans 6:3–5 Vs3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into bChrist Jesus have been baptized into His death? Vs4 Therefore we have been a buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was braised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. Vs5 For if we have become 1united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be 2in the likeness of His resurrection, Vs6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin Vs7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin. Vs8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. Vs9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. Vs10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
Our belief that The Great High Priest Jesus empowered his ministry with the gift of healing as it is written in the Bible:
James 5:14-15 Vs14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. Vs15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
Our belief that we need to go where Jesus went and love like Jesus loved as it is written in the Bible:
Mathew 22:37-40 Vs37Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ Vs38 This is the first and greatest commandment. Vs39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’Vs40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Mathew 28:16-20 Vs16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. Vs17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Vs18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Vs19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Vs20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
